Privacy Policy — Andre's AcidLine

Effective date: October 6, 2026

Apple app identifier: com.time2jack.acidline

Who this policy covers

This policy describes the instrument software published under Time2Jack / TapTap Performance, including its standalone and plug-in versions on the platforms where they are available. It does not describe the separate practices of a music host, app store, cloud-storage provider, operating system, or the TapTap Performance website.

The short version

We do not collect personal information automatically from the instrument. It has no user accounts, advertising, analytics SDKs, developer-operated crash-reporting SDKs, or tracking. We do not receive your music or monitor how you play.

Music-making and file processing happen on your device. Optional synchronization can exchange limited musical-control and discovery information with local peers, as explained below. This is different from sending information to us or to an internet service.

This instrument's local content: Bassline patterns, synthesizer presets, scenes, automation, imported audio and MIDI, and exported audio. WAX ON analyzes selected audio locally.

Ableton Link and local-network synchronization

Where supported in your version, Ableton Link lets compatible music apps share tempo, beat position and phase. If start/stop synchronization is enabled, it also exchanges transport timing and start/stop state. Link uses local peer discovery and timing messages, including the network addresses and session/peer identifiers needed to connect instruments. The instrument uses Link for timing; it does not implement Link Audio streaming.

Scene Link is a separate Architect Series feature. It uses local service discovery (Bonjour on Apple platforms; network service discovery on Android) and peer connections to coordinate scene changes. Its messages contain the instrument/app name, a randomly generated identifier for the running app instance, a message sequence number, the selected scene, the launch timing/quantization, and an optional target beat. The identifier is created for that app instance; it is not an advertising identifier or a user account. Discovery also exposes the service name and local network endpoint needed to make the connection.

These features communicate with compatible apps on your local network, on the same device, or through a nearby peer connection supported by the operating system. They do not send this information to a Time2Jack, TapTap Performance, or Ableton internet server. We do not maintain a database of peers, musical activity, or session identifiers. The synchronization features do not send your project files, presets, samples, recorded audio, motion readings, name, email address, or contact list.

Synchronization is optional. Enable or disable Link and Scene Link in the instrument's sync controls; disable each active feature to stop that feature's peer communication. Some versions remember your chosen sync settings and restore them later. Denying local-network permission disables network-dependent features without preventing standalone music-making. Compatible peers can discover and join a session without an account or invitation, so use a network whose participants you trust.

MIDI and DJ SYNC: MIDI features exchange or receive musical notes, controller messages and/or clock/transport information through the MIDI connections you select. If you configure network MIDI, its networking is provided by your operating system or host and may expose musical-control messages to those selected peers. MIDI is not an upload of your audio or project files to us.

Files and local storage

Projects, presets, patterns, imported files, recordings, exports and settings are processed or stored on your device or in a destination you choose. Project formats include .house, .acid and .strange where supported. Audio analysis and WAX ON features process selected files on-device; they do not use a remote transcription service.

If you choose iCloud Drive or another cloud-backed folder, email, AirDrop, or a sharing service, that provider handles the transfer under its own privacy terms. We do not receive a copy. AU, AUv3 and VST3 hosts can store instrument state and audio in their own projects; the host's own storage, synchronization and telemetry practices are separate from this instrument.

Use the instrument's reset or factory-restore controls, where available, to reset local state. Delete saved projects, exported files and backups separately if you want to remove them; uninstalling the app does not delete files you saved outside its private storage or in a cloud account.

Permissions and device access

Apple platforms may ask for local-network permission for peer synchronization. Android versions that support local sync request internet/network-state and Wi-Fi multicast permissions: Android's INTERNET permission is also required for local network sockets and does not mean this instrument uploads data to an internet server. Features and permission prompts vary by platform and version.

File access uses the system file picker or a host's file-access facilities, as appropriate for the platform. These instruments do not request contacts, location, camera or photo-library access for music creation or synchronization.

Diagnostics, purchases and support

Apple, Google, the operating system or your music host may collect purchase or diagnostic information under their own settings and policies. We do not embed a separate analytics or crash-reporting service in these instruments. App stores may make diagnostic reports available to developers according to the user's sharing preferences. Do not include personal or confidential material in any log or project you choose to send to support.

If you contact us voluntarily, we receive the email address, message and attachments you choose to send. We use that information to respond and troubleshoot, and do not use it for advertising or tracking. You can request deletion of a support conversation by contacting us; we may need to retain information required for an unresolved request or by law. We do not promise a fixed retention period.

Purchases and payment details are handled by the store or seller you use. The instrument itself does not receive your payment-card details.

Children, sharing and tracking

The instruments are general-audience music tools and do not automatically collect personal information from children or adults. We do not sell or rent personal information, share instrument activity with advertising networks, or track you across other companies' apps or websites. Local sync carries musical-control and discovery information, not chat or shared audio/project content.

Changes and contact

If the instrument's data practices change, we will update the published policy and its revision date, and update store disclosures where required.
